Vision
Within the South African financial service landscape, many a Company’s focus has been on specific entities and groups of people, such as large employers and unions, to name a few. This is done in a bid to maximize profits by capitalizing on a large captive audience. There are many positives resulting from this strategy, however these are eclipsed by the myriads of negatives which stem from it. As a result, one encounters the proliferation of antiquated services and benefits (which rarely change, from a value-added perspective), whilst nonetheless increasing in cost and fees annually. A larger issue arising out of the above, is that of fraud and corruption, which has become a natural manifestation of the business environment. Contributing to this is the nature of how these transactions are concluded and the expectation of some form of gratification for the potential or continued business. This being said, AFS aims to combat this systemic decay by providing modern, simple, and comprehensive benefits and offerings, which are transparent and understandable, allowing accountabilities for all parties involved.
